MANILA, PHILIPPINES — August 10, 2026 — The Filipino Inventors Society Multipurpose Cooperative (FISMPC) takes another significant step toward building a stronger, innovation-driven cooperative movement as its leadership participates in LUNDUYAN 2026: “A Convergence of Stakeholders, Partnerships, and Opportunities,” organized by the Department of Science and Technology–Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) at the Hilton Manila Newport World Resorts in Pasay City.

Representing
FISMPC at the landmark gathering are President Raymond Doran and Vice
President Henry V. Bayubay, who attended the event to gain valuable
knowledge, establish partnerships, explore opportunities, and bring new ideas
and innovation pathways back to the growing membership of the cooperative.
According
to the invitation issued by DOST-TAPI, LUNDUYAN 2026 is designed to support the
development, commercialization, and promotion of Filipino technologies,
while bringing together innovators, startups, and other stakeholders through
plenary sessions, discussions and networking opportunities.
From Inventors to Cooperative Innovators
For
FISMPC, participation in LUNDUYAN 2026 goes beyond simply attending an industry
event.
It
represents a strategic direction: to bring innovation closer to the
cooperative community and transform cooperatives into active participants in
the Philippine innovation ecosystem.
FISMPC
believes that Filipino inventors, innovators, entrepreneurs and cooperative
members should not operate in separate worlds. Instead, their knowledge,
technologies, products and ideas can become part of a cooperative system where innovation
is shared, opportunities are collectively developed, and economic benefits
reach communities.
President
Raymond Doran and Vice President Henry V. Bayubay joined the
gathering with the objective of learning from technology developers,
innovators, startups and government stakeholders, while identifying
opportunities that can eventually be introduced to FISMPC members and
cooperative partners.
“Our
participation in LUNDUYAN is not only about learning what is happening in the
innovation sector. It is about bringing that knowledge home to our members and
creating opportunities for our cooperative community to become part of the
innovation economy.”
Empowering Members to Share Their Own Technologies
One of the important directions that FISMPC seeks to pursue is the creation of an environment where members themselves can become sources of technology, invention and innovation.
The
cooperative can serve as a bridge between Filipino inventors and the cooperative
sector—providing opportunities for members to introduce technologies, products,
services and solutions that can respond to real community needs.
From
agriculture and food production to transportation, logistics, digital systems,
renewable energy, manufacturing, education and other emerging sectors,
innovations developed by Filipino minds can potentially find practical
applications through cooperatives.
This is
where the cooperative concept becomes powerful.
An
invention does not have to remain inside a laboratory.
A technology does not have to remain with its inventor.
An innovation does not have to benefit only one company.
Through
cooperation, knowledge can be shared, technologies can be adopted, markets
can be created, and communities can collectively benefit.
Building a Cooperative Innovation Community
FISMPC
envisions a cooperative community where members are not merely consumers of
technology but can also become inventors, developers, adopters, investors,
entrepreneurs and technology partners.
The
participation of its leadership in LUNDUYAN 2026 is therefore part of a broader
effort to establish stronger connections among:
Through
these connections, FISMPC can help create pathways for promising Filipino
technologies to move from idea → invention → development → commercialization
→ cooperative adoption → community impact.
The Meaning of “Lunduyan” for FISMPC
The word “Lunduyan”
carries a powerful meaning for the cooperative movement—a place where ideas,
people and opportunities can come together and grow.
For
FISMPC, the event represents an opportunity to build its own “lunduyan” of
innovation within the cooperative sector.
A place
where an inventor can find a cooperative market.
A place
where a cooperative member can discover a technology that can improve his or
her livelihood.
A place
where young innovators can find mentors and partners.
A place
where cooperatives can collaborate instead of competing unnecessarily.
And most
importantly, a place where Filipino innovation can become a shared
instrument for inclusive economic development.
From Knowledge to Action
President
Raymond Doran and Vice President Henry V. Bayubay are expected to bring the
insights and opportunities gained from LUNDUYAN 2026 into the continuing
programs and plans of FISMPC.
The
objective is not simply to accumulate information, but to translate knowledge
into programs, partnerships, technology opportunities and practical benefits
for members.
FISMPC
can potentially develop mechanisms for members to present their inventions and
innovations, establish technology-sharing initiatives, connect innovators with
cooperative enterprises, and identify technologies that can be adopted by
member cooperatives.
In this
way, the cooperative becomes more than an economic organization.
It
becomes a platform for innovation, empowerment and collective progress.
A New Generation of Cooperative Leadership
The
participation of Doran and Bayubay also reflects the evolving role of
cooperative leadership in the modern economy.
Today's
cooperatives face challenges that require more than traditional approaches.
Digital transformation, climate change, food security, artificial intelligence,
automation, renewable energy, logistics and emerging technologies are reshaping
the way communities produce, trade and create livelihoods.
FISMPC
intends to position its members to participate in this transformation.
The
cooperative of the future must not only ask, “What can we buy?”
It must
also ask:
“What can
our members invent?”
“What can we develop together?”
“What technology can improve our communities?”
“How can innovation create shared prosperity?”
Innovation Through Cooperation
FISMPC's
participation in LUNDUYAN 2026 sends a clear message:
Filipino
inventors and cooperatives can grow stronger together.
By
opening its doors to innovation, FISMPC can provide its members with
opportunities to learn, collaborate, commercialize ideas and contribute
technologies that can benefit fellow cooperative members and the wider Filipino
community.
The
ultimate vision is simple but powerful:
An
innovation created by one Filipino can become an opportunity for many Filipinos
when it is strengthened by cooperation.
Through
the leadership of President Raymond Doran, Vice President Henry V.
Bayubay, and the FISMPC Board and membership, the cooperative seeks to help
build a future where invention meets cooperation, technology meets
community, and innovation becomes a shared pathway toward inclusive
development.
FISMPC: Cooperating for Innovation. Innovating for
the Filipino Community.
The
participation of FISMPC in LUNDUYAN 2026 is therefore more than a
presence at a national innovation gathering. It is a declaration of intent—to learn,
connect, share, innovate and cooperate.
From the
halls of LUNDUYAN, FISMPC carries forward a message to its members and the
broader cooperative community:
The
future of Filipino innovation should not belong only to a few. Through
cooperation, it can belong to everyone.
FISMPC is ready to be part of that future.
