PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, PALAWAN — The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) MIMAROPA Regional Extension Office is set to inspire hundreds of young cooperative leaders during the MIMAROPA Coco Coop Youth Camp 2026, to be held on August 10–13, 2026, in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. Carrying the inspiring theme, "KOOPKABATAAN: Tanim ng Pag-asa, Ani ng Kaunlaran," the four-day gathering aims to cultivate responsible, innovative, and service-oriented youth leaders who will help shape the future of the Philippine cooperative movement.
One of
the event's major highlights is the presentation of the Human-Centered
Digital Wellness & Social Intelligence (HDWSI) Framework, an innovative
educational and leadership framework that equips young Filipinos with the
knowledge, character, and human values needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving
age of Artificial Intelligence.
Serving
as the event's Resource Speaker is Henry V. Bayubay, Technology
Entrepreneur, Digital Transformation Advocate, President and CEO of BB 88
Advertising and Digital Solutions Inc., and the Main Proponent and
Developer of the Human-Centered Digital Wellness & Social Intelligence
(HDWSI) Framework. His session, entitled "Human-Centered Digital
Wellness & Social Intelligence (HDWSI): Empowering the Youth to Thrive in
the AI Era," will introduce participants to a transformative approach
that places humanity, ethics, emotional intelligence, and responsible
innovation at the center of technological advancement.
A New Vision for the AI Generation
As
Artificial Intelligence continues to reshape education, business, governance,
employment, and everyday life, HDWSI presents a timely and visionary framework
that emphasizes an important truth: technology should always serve
humanity—not replace it.
Developed
in the Philippines, the HDWSI Framework recognizes that future success will no
longer depend solely on digital skills or academic excellence. Instead,
tomorrow's leaders must also possess:
The
framework encourages young people to become AI-ready and Humanity-ready,
ensuring they are equipped not only with technical competence but also with the
wisdom, integrity, and resilience necessary to lead in an increasingly digital
world.
Preparing Filipino Youth for the Future
The HDWSI
Framework responds to one of the greatest challenges facing today's generation,
the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence, digital dependency, misinformation,
social media influence, and evolving workplace demands.
Rather
than viewing AI as a threat, the framework teaches young Filipinos how to
harness emerging technologies responsibly while preserving the uniquely human
qualities that machines cannot replicate.
It
reinforces that character, compassion, ethical leadership, creativity, and
social responsibility will remain the defining strengths of future leaders.
By
integrating technology with Filipino values such as bayanihan, integrity,
service, respect, and compassion, HDWSI seeks to produce globally
competitive citizens who remain deeply committed to their communities and
nation.
Strengthening the Cooperative Youth Movement
The
objectives of the HDWSI Framework align closely with the mission of the Cooperative
Development Authority, particularly in developing future cooperative
leaders capable of driving inclusive economic growth, innovation, and community
transformation.
Participants
will engage in meaningful discussions on:
These
learning experiences are expected to inspire young cooperative members to
become catalysts for positive change within their organizations and
communities.
An Advocacy for a Better Digital Future
More than
an educational program, Human-Centered Digital Wellness & Social
Intelligence (HDWSI) is a growing national advocacy dedicated to preparing
Filipino youth for the future while preserving the values that define humanity.
The
advocacy promotes the responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence into
education, governance, business, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and community
development, ensuring that technological progress is always guided by ethics,
human dignity, and social responsibility.
Its
vision is to cultivate a generation of Filipinos who are:
Inspiring the Next Generation
Expressing
his appreciation for the invitation, Bayubay described his participation in the
Youth Camp as both an honor and a responsibility, emphasizing that empowering
young leaders is one of the country's most important investments. He also
commended the Cooperative Development Authority for organizing the youth camp
under the theme "KOOPKABATAAN: Tanim ng Pag-asa, Ani ng
Kaunlaran," noting its strong alignment with the vision of the HDWSI
Framework to develop ethical, emotionally intelligent, digitally responsible,
and globally competitive citizens rooted in Filipino values.
"Artificial
Intelligence can accelerate innovation, but it can never replace the qualities
that define exceptional human beings—character, empathy, integrity, compassion,
creativity, and genuine service to others. Our mission is to prepare a
generation that is not only AI-ready, but Humanity-ready."

As the
MIMAROPA Coco Coop Youth Camp 2026 brings together young cooperative members
from across Palawan and the MIMAROPA Region, organizers hope the event will
ignite a new movement of purpose-driven leadership, one that embraces
innovation while remaining firmly anchored in human values.
Through
the combined efforts of the Cooperative Development Authority MIMAROPA,
its organizing committee, cooperative partners, and the HDWSI advocacy, the
Youth Camp is expected to become more than a leadership training event, it is
envisioned as a platform for inspiring a new generation of Filipino leaders who
will shape a future where technology advances hand in hand with humanity,
responsibility, and national progress.
