The Clark International Festival of Speed (CIFOS) has officially opened registration for TRACKSIDE: Frames of Speed, the country's premier motorsports photography and videography experience, returning this year in partnership with Sony Philippines.
Formerly known as the CIFOS Shutter Session, the program returns bigger than ever after a successful debut in 2025 that drew more than 70 photographers and content creators across two race weekends. It also recorded the largest number of officially accredited photographers ever granted trackside access at Clark International Speedway, reflecting the growing passion for motorsports photography in the Philippines.
This year's rebranded program gives aspiring and experienced photographers another rare opportunity to capture the adrenaline of Philippine motorsports from exclusive trackside locations while learning from one of the industry's respected professionals.
"CIFOS hopes the program continues to build a community of photographers who are interested in documenting Philippine motorsports while giving participants access that is rarely available during race weekends," said Michaelson Lim, Organizing Director of CIFOS.
With motorcycles and race cars hurtling around the circuit at incredible speeds, motorsports photography is among the most demanding forms of action photography. Success depends on timing, precision, and equipment capable of keeping up with every split-second moment. Through its partnership with Sony Philippines, TRACKSIDE: Frames of Speed highlights the technology that has made Sony Alpha cameras a trusted choice among motorsports photographers worldwide, thanks to their fast autofocus, high-speed continuous shooting, and advanced subject tracking capabilities.
Beyond showcasing the sport, TRACKSIDE: Frames of Speed is designed to make motorsports photography more accessible to students, hobbyists, photographers, and content creators looking to explore a new field. For many participants, it could be their first opportunity to photograph a live race—and the beginning of a career covering motorsports.
Participants may register for either or both race weekends for only ₱500 per event:
Every registered participant will also receive complimentary access to an exclusive morning workshop led by internationally recognized motorsports photographer Matthew Romualdez. The session will cover the fundamentals of motorsports photography, including camera techniques, safety, composition, and practical tips to help newcomers maximize their experience at the circuit.
More than just a photography workshop, TRACKSIDE: Frames of Speed is also a competition. Participants will vie for exciting prizes, including Sony premium items, exclusive giveaways, raffle prizes, ₱10,000 worth of karting vouchers, and custom-crafted trophies from Cars & Prints.
Registration is now open. Interested participants may scan the QR code on the official event poster, access the registration link through all official CIFOS social media platforms, or email their details to cifos.shuttersession@gmail.com.
