Bureau of Customs sets 3-year validity for exporter registration

MANILA – The Bureau of Customs has implemented a three-year validity period for exporter registration under its Client Profile Registration System (CPRS).

In a memorandum signed on April 24, Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno stated that exporter registrations will remain valid for three years from approval, unless they are suspended, deactivated, or canceled earlier based on existing rules.

The policy aims to improve the accuracy and reliability of exporter data in the CPRS, ensuring that records reflect active and legitimate stakeholders. Officials said this will help streamline export processes while maintaining efficient services.

The bureau also directed its Management Information Systems and Technology Group to update the system to apply the new validity period. In addition, district offices were instructed to properly enforce the policy, including verifying and updating exporter records.

The move aligns with existing regulations requiring exporters to register in the CPRS before conducting export activities, supporting better data management and smoother trade operations.
