NBI Issues Subpoenas to Vloggers Over False Claims on Marcos’ Health — Palace

MANILA — The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on Monday confirmed that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has issued subpoenas to three vloggers accused of spreading false information about the health of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

PCO Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the documents submitted by the PCO for investigation have already been forwarded to the NBI.

“Ang binigay na dokumento ng PCO para sa agarang malalimang pag-iimbestiga sa mga vloggers na nagpakalat ng peke patungkol sa kalusugan ng ating Pangulo ay nai-forward na sa NBI. At nagkaroon na rin ng subpoena para sa karampatang pag-iimbestiga,” Castro said.

Earlier, the PCO, through its Anti-Fake News Desk (AFND), endorsed a complaint on April 15 to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for investigation and possible legal action against the individuals involved.

Castro identified the accounts as:

  • “Crage Anderpal”
  • “Rigondola Ping”
  • “Iloy Bugris: The Queen of Revelations”

According to the PCO, the accounts allegedly spread fabricated and misleading content, including:

  • Live broadcasts falsely claiming the President was critically ill
  • Manipulated images showing him in physical distress
  • Fake news graphics suggesting official confirmation of a serious health condition

The Palace reiterated its stance against fake news and misinformation, emphasizing the importance of verifying information and holding those responsible accountable under the law.
