QUEZON CITY — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is encouraging women entrepreneurs nationwide to avail of the Women’s Enterprise Fund, a financing program aimed at strengthening women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Trade Secretary Cristina Roque said the loan initiative is part of the government’s whole-of-nation approach to supporting MSMEs under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., particularly as businesses continue to face economic pressures and rising operational costs.
Roque emphasized that access to capital remains essential for business growth, noting that the program was designed to help women entrepreneurs expand or start their own ventures.
She said ₱2 billion has been allocated for the Women’s Enterprise Fund, which supports women in business, aspiring entrepreneurs, and women-led enterprises. Roque also highlighted the significant contribution of women in the business sector, citing that many successful enterprises in the country began as small ventures led by women.

Roque urged more women to take advantage of the funding opportunity, adding that eligible borrowers may access up to ₱5 million in loans without collateral. The program also offers a one-year grace period with no payment required for principal and interest, giving businesses time to stabilize and grow.
