PAL Boosts Domestic Flights Ahead of Peak Travel Season

MANILA – Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) is increasing flight frequencies on several key domestic routes starting October to accommodate rising passenger demand during the peak travel season.

Flights between Manila and Butuan will increase from 14 to 21 weekly, while Manila–Cagayan de Oro will grow from 35 to 42 weekly. Services to Cotabato will rise from 11 to 14 weekly, and Manila–Legazpi (Daraga) from 21 to 28 weekly.

Other expanded routes include Manila–Dumaguete (14 to 18 weekly) and Manila–Tacloban (21 to 25 weekly).

From Dec. 8, 2025 to March 28, 2026, PAL will also upgrade five of its weekly Manila–Iloilo services by deploying larger Airbus A330 aircraft.

“With more flights and greater seat capacity, PAL is enhancing connectivity across the archipelago while supporting local economies and tourism,” PAL Express president Rabbi Vincent Ang said.

For the peak season, PAL will operate 1,154 flights per week to and from Manila, a 7 percent increase, adding over 14,000 additional seats weekly.
